The Vision

The Quinn Keast Foundation was incorporated under the Society Act of B.C. in August, 2006. The purpose of the Foundation is to administer and enhance the Quinn Keast Memorial Scholarship Fund. The Fund was accumulated through donations from generous friends, family and members of the basketball and sporting community.

The Foundation is dedicated to encouraging and promoting the pursuit of excellence in high school basketball in British Columbia by:

• Providing scholarships and awards to grade 12 students, male or female, residing in the province of British Columbia who maintain an above average academic standing and who intend to pursue a post-secondary education;
• Initiating, encouraging and maintaining a high level of sportsmanship in high school basketball in British Columbia;
• Providing, promoting, encouraging and organizing basketball games, tournaments and activities for high school students in British Columbia which would:

-raise awareness of the Foundation and its purposes; 

-raise monies to assist the Foundation in the pursuit of its purposes;

-assist in identifying scholarship candidates.

• Raising funds to enable the Foundation to carry out its stated purposes by charging, soliciting, receiving money, by gift, contribution, bequest, devise or otherwise.

The Foundation has established itself as a fixture in the landscape of high school basketball in British Columbia and intends to expand its mandate to encompass the delivery of support to community and high school basketball programs with limited resources.
